Innsbruck which is a city situated in the middle of the Austrian Alps provides you with breathtaking views of the magnificent mountain scenery. The roof of the alcove is covered with almost 2,700 fire gilded copper tiles.
Ambras Castle , situated on the south eastern city border, definitely ranks among the famous buildings in Innsbruck. The splendid castle was built as early as the 10th Century and for a long time it served as the place of retreat for various earls and princes from the region.
A visit to the Tyrolean State Museum, provides you with important knowledge about the city of Innsbruck and the entire region. Here you can marvel at a total of seven different exhibitions whose thematic spectrum ranges from the Roman Age to our present day.
