Orlando Activity Filled Wonderland Orlando is one of the most popular tourist destinations in America, and it is quite easy to see why, with so many different theme parks and activities in the general area. Orlando is home to the famous Disney World Resort, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios Florida so for family fun and travel, it is one of the best places to spend some time. The fantastic climate year round also allows visitors to come to Orlando all year, making it a very popular winter destination. Serviced by the Orlando International Airport the city and nearby region attracts an amazing 50 million tourists each year, both domestic and international. Theme Park Heaven What makes Orlando so special are the theme parks in the area. Within just a few minutes drive visitors can find Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Gatorland and Wet n’ Wild Water Park. Each of these parks can provide hours and hours of fun for families and kids of all ages. The parks are all centered around an area of Orlando called International Drive. Along this street there are a number of different hotels and resorts that cater to visitors, many of which offer guests shuttle rides to and from the many theme parks. There is also an area of Orlando called the historic district, which has really helped to expand the number of things to do and see in the Orlando area for those visitors looking for a break from the many theme parks. World Class Golfing For the golf nuts, Orlando is home to some incredible world class golf courses. Some of the more famous and beloved include the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, which is the home of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In addition to offering plenty of theme park attractions, Disney also has a number of excellent golf courses on the premises as well. For visitors who are looking to get in a few rounds head over to the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Magnolia Golf Course or the Palm Golf Course, all operated and maintained by Disney World Resort.
