  By far, the biggest attraction for those who are coming to Florence is to see all of the art the city has to offer visitors. Many of the most famous and renowned artists and sculptors whose work is still marveled at today were living in and around Florence during the height of the Renaissance period.  

  There are a number of different museums and galleries that attract visitors in Florence, the most popular being the Uffizi, the Academy, Museo di San Marco (St. Marco Museum), the Bargello Museum, and the Art Gallery Studio Iguarnieri which takes a really interesting look at the lives of local artists.

Amazing Architecture

  Spend some time wandering along the various piazzas found in Florence like the Piazza della Signora for an up close copy of the famous statue David, the Piazzale Michelangelo for some amazing views of the city, and the Piazza della Repubblica, that was once the center of the ancient city.  

  The most famous building in Florence might be the Duomo, the famous cathedral that has become the symbol of the city. Another hidden spot is the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte, tucked in the hills about a mile outside the city center.
