Lloret de Mar, tra le stelle del Mediterraneo
Le ampie spiagge e la spettacolare posizione hanno fatto di Lloret de Mar una delle destinazioni turistiche più popolari del Mediterraneo. Il vecchio paese, un tempo villaggio di pescatori, conserva ancora il suo fascino marino, esaltato dalla bellezza di questo tratto costiero. Riposatevi in una delle sue cinque spiagge di seta, oppure approfittate e fate un salto in treno fino a Barcellona, la splendida capitale catalana poco distante da qui. La marina riluce degli yacht lustrati a festa, e tutto attorno ci sono ristoranti eleganti, negozietti esclusivi e piccoli cafè accoglienti dove trascorrere un bel pomeriggio senza pensieri.
Un angolo di pace
Senz'altro le principali attrazioni di Lloret de Mar sono le sue distese di sabbia e i numerosi nightclub alla moda; anche l'offerta culturale però riserva piacevoli sorprese. Tra queste, il Cimitero modernista, uno spettacolare camposanto in cui è esposta (perché pare una mostra d'arte) una miriade di lapidi e mausolei elaborati. Il cimitero è mantenuto perfettamente, il verde ben curato, ed è come abbracciato dalle colline retrostanti. È il luogo perfetto dove riflettere in pace e silenzio, un luogo distante anni luce dalle spiagge affollate e dai club alla moda della città.
La chiesa modernista
Uno degli edifici più colorati e sorprendenti di Lloret de Mar è una chiesa, la Chiesa di Sant Romà. La struttura è un insieme cacofonico di torrette colorate, pannelli di terracotta, righe e rosoni, elaborate decorazioni che sfidano con spavalderia le regole e gli stili dell'architettura religiosa tradizionale. Questa chiesa caleidoscopio, di fatto il simbolo architettonico di Lloret de Mar, vale senza dubbio una visita.
Squisite tapas
Il piatto spagnolo più conosciuto sono le tapas, e a Lloret de Mar nessun ristorante ne serve di migliori del Ristorante La Lonja. Prima di buttarvi a pesce sulle coppette di terracotta piene di chorizo, patate croccanti all'aglio e paradisiache paella, dedicate un momento a godervi la veracità di quest'ambientazione insieme rustica ed elegante.
