The Canterbury Hotel (Cantorbéry)

One of the oldest Canterbury hotels, the Thanington Hotel is conveniently located, a short walk from the world famous Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury city centre. Built in the late 1790s, the hotel has retained much of its original charm providing, for the discerning traveller, an oasis in bustling Canterbury.

Since being purchased in September 2012, the hotel is undergoing a tasteful transformation. Eleven of the rooms have already been refurbished.

The charming enclosed garden, a riot of colour in the summer months, can be accessed from the hotel or from the indoor swimming pool, giving guests the opportunity to relax in a peaceful secluded oasis whether enjoying refreshment or watching the carp swimming in the pond.
