Positive good quality for money. great restaurant Bulls Run in the hotel. smoker's bar nice but also the only option for smokers (or outside). huge colonial style hotel and massive ground with nice gardens and pools. Negative completely non-smoking hotel; smoker's bar only option for smokers (or outside). some construction ongoing next ground but not impacting me due to very quiet room location.

Positive Friendly, clean hotel. Was nice that you had garden that you could sit in when weather was good. Bull restaurant was excellent. Negative We extended our stay as we were going to another hotel but decided to continue stay at Protea Hotel Balalaika but had to check out and check in again. Had a late flight at 8.20pm and asked for late check out and was charged R1000 which was more than dail
