Positive Nothing. Negative It is not a hotel, but a rebuild apartment house, extremely small, dirty, nasty, stinky. No real reception, no German speaking people, disgusting breakfast, dirty dishes etc.

Positive Just a good hotel with comfort enough rooms, friendly family staff. What we really loved: they don't put 0.25ml water bottle for a price of 2.5€, they have an electric kettle in the room! Dining room is just awesome! Pretty nice breakfasts. Close to Negative Early check out time (10:30), but they even start to knock on your door and remind you to leave at 10:00. Reception hours are not enough. We couldn't leave our luggage on the day of check out at the reception, cause the guy said he will be there till 1

Positive About 2-3 minutes' walk from the main station. The automated check-in worked fine and is quite acceptable for a hotel which offers this good value for money. Remarkably quiet area. Room perfectly adequate for the price, clean and in good repair. WiFi seem Negative Not a problem for me, but some may feel this isn't one of Cologne's most elegant neighbourhoods. However this is probably reflected in the price, and shouldn't detract from the hotel itself and the convenience of the location.
