In close proximity of the Maritim Hotell AS, there are several tourist attractions available. Sjoebodkvartalet, with a dozen restaurants, offers great atmospheres and a vivid nightlife. Next to the hotel there are the ruins of the Saint Olav Monastery and the Saint Olav Church.

The Fregatten Restaurant serves its guests Norwegian, Japanese and Chinese food. It is known as one of the best à-la-carte restaurants in the area. It offers international menus varying according to the seasons.
