Decumani Hotel de Charme is the First Cultural Hotel of Naples. It means that our permanent guest is the cultural event.The building where the hotel is placed is a XVIII century’s palace and used to be the residence of Cardinal Sisto Riario Sforza, the last Bishop of the Bourbon Kingdom of Naples.From its glorious past, today the building still keeps intact some beautiful structural elements, such as the wood gate, large stairs, high ceilings with rafters or groin vaults and big wood windows.In the common areas of the hotel you can find typical Neapolitan tiled floors with ancient pieces of hand-painted 'maiolica”, a luxurious Baroque-style hall with painted ceiling and all walls covered with mirrors and golden 'stuccos”.Moreover, in some rooms there are high ceilings with wood hand-painted rafters, groin vaults or coffer ceilings and precious period pieces of furniture.
Decumani Hotel de Charme is located in the heart of the city centre of Naples, named by UNESCO 'the biggest open-air museum in the world”.Our guests will be glad to have a stay right in the heart of the ancient city centre, that once used to be Greek and then Roman, where they will have a full immersion in history, art, typical food, traditions and narrow Neapolitan streets.
